What to Do Before Your Emergency Visit
While you wait for your appointment, these steps can help:
Call us as early in the day as you can, so we can find a time for you.
Rinse gently with warm water to keep the area clean.
Use a cold compress on your cheek if there is swelling.
If a piece of tooth breaks off, save it and bring it with you.
Avoid chewing on the painful side.
If a tooth is knocked out, handle it by the crown, not the root, and call us right away.
Make a note of when the pain started and what makes it better or worse. It helps Dr. Khanani find the cause.
