Traditional dentures: a smiling older patient at MK Dental Studio in Fulshear, TX
Traditional dentures are removable replacement teeth that restore a full arch of missing teeth — upper, lower, or both. At MK Dental Studio in Fulshear, TX, Dr. Madiha Khanani creates custom dentures designed to look natural, support your facial features, and help you eat and speak with confidence. We serve patients from Fulshear, Brookshire, Katy, and the Jordan Ranch area.

Who Are Traditional Dentures For?

Missing only a few teeth? A partial denture or bridge may be a better fit.

Benefits of Dentures

  • Restores your smile — natural-looking teeth custom-shaded for you
  • Supports your face — helps fill out your lips and cheeks after tooth loss
  • Helps you eat and speak — makes chewing and clear speech easier
  • Removable — easy to take out for cleaning

The Denture Process

  1. Exam and planning — Dr. Khanani checks your gums and jaw and talks through your options.
  2. Impressions and measurements — we record the shape of your mouth and how your jaws come together.
  3. Try-in — you preview the look and fit so we can make changes before your dentures are finished.
  4. Delivery and adjustments — we fit your new dentures and fine-tune them at follow-up visits for comfort.

Want More Stability?

Implant-supported dentures snap onto dental implants, so they don’t slip and make eating much easier. Dr. Khanani can tell you whether you’re a candidate.

Caring for Your Traditional Dentures

With good daily care, your dentures stay cleaner, fresher, and more comfortable:

  • Rinse them after eating to remove food particles.
  • Brush them every day with a soft denture brush and a non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Take them out at night unless Dr. Khanani advises otherwise, and keep them in water or a soaking solution so they don’t dry out.
  • Gently brush your gums, tongue, and the roof of your mouth each day.
  • Handle dentures over a folded towel or a sink of water in case you drop them, and avoid hot water, which can warp them.

Your mouth changes over time, so dentures may need adjustments as the years go by. Keep up with regular checkups, and call us at 281-219-8000 if your dentures feel loose, rub, or cause sore spots.

Some movement is normal, especially at first. A good fit, follow-up adjustments, and practice all help. If you want more stability, ask about implant-supported dentures.
